The most popular way of getting to Skye is by road, as once you are on the island it is best to have your own car to go sight seeing.

Once on the Isle of Skye (click here for directions to Skye), travel north through Portree until you arrive in the village of Uig (A87). In the centre of the village turn right on to the A855 after negotiating a hairpin bend keep on the main road north for approximately 2 miles. There are two sign posts for Totescore. Take the second road marked on the left and drive to the end. The house is on the right, through a gate and down a short drive.

The night sleeper runs from London to either Inverness or Fort William. From Inverness, there are connections to Kyle of Lochalsh. From Fort William, there are connections to Mallaig (sometimes by the Jacobite Steamtrain). The ferry leaves from Mallaig to Armadale on Skye.
